General approach
In 2009, the EU adopted a directive to stimulate investment in renewable energy sources. The ambition was to meet, by 2020, 20% of the EU's total electricity consumption through renewable energies. The directive gave every Member State an indicative target, according to its existing level of renewable electricity penetration.
The positive outcome of the climate negotiations at the UNFCCC's COP 21 in December 2015 was an unexpected pleasant surprise. The long term targets adopted by 186 countries gathered in Paris is a de facto call for a 100% emissions free power sector by 2050 at the latest; and given the lack of any serious competition from any other emissions free power sources, this means a power sector supplied largely or completely by renewable energy, with wind and solar leading the pack.

Wind Energy
As an engineer and project manager I took part in the biggest wind farm development, at the time, in Croatia back in 2014. Gained knowledge and successful management of the project is now transferred to the venture and is already reinforced with new ongoing projects in the wind sector.
